Hans Anderson, video artist
Hans Anderson has been working in film, video, interactive and graphic design for the past 15 years. Commercial clients include Audi, Ford, GM, Chrysler, Whole Foods Market, Ernst & Young, Swarovski, Tenneco and the University of Michigan. He has created work for numerous multimedia performances, collaborations and experiments, primarily in electronic media. His influences include Maya Deren, Stan Brakhage, Paul Rand, David Carson, contemporary digital typography, and religious iconography.
Uday Hajra, visual artist
Uday Shankar Hajra is a self trained painter, photographer and designer. His preferred painting medium is acrylic on canvas as well as paper/board. He also creates black and white pen and ink drawings on paper, and occasionally oil pastels and watercolors.
He has exhibited with the group Contrivance from 1989 to 2006 in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Shantiniketan. He has four solo shows to credit, all at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. His solo show of photography was at the Photographers’ Gallery, Kolkata in 2008 and a group show of photography at Gallery Gold, Kolkata, in 2011. His work is in the collection of the Lalit Kala Akademi and with other private collectors. His other interests include photography, hand-painted furniture and mud architecture. He is a co-owner of ‘Aaro Aakash’ – a ‘green’ village resort near Shantiniketan in Bengal, India.
